The Central Office of Information (COI)
The Central Office of Information (COI) is the Government's central point for marketing and communications. Most government marketing work is done in conjunction with this department. I'm on the COI's Approved Supplier List for online and print copywriting. So far, I've worked for them on two separate projects.
Acas
Acas is the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service, a non-departmental body that is mainly funded by the BERR. I worked on the recent revamp of their website as the sole copywriter.

NHS Alcohol Units campaign
"Units" was a government information campaign that aimed to make the public more aware of alcoholic units and how many they consume. I worked on the first draft of the copy for the accompanying website, a great deal of which was used as it stood.

NHS Alcohol Effects campaign
"Alcohol Effects" was an information campaign with both above the line and online elements, that described the long-term cumulative effects of drinking. I wrote the copy for the campaign website, based on the tone from the ATL work.

Ofqual
The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation is a new body that regulates qualifications, examinations and assessments in England and vocational qualifications in Northern Ireland. I created the tone and wrote the copy for the higher levels of the new site, launched in April 2010.
The site structure was unusual in having two paths through the content: via the five "guides" created for different audiences, or the more conventional top navigation bar for those familiar with the content.
